Children Love to Learn Through Play
Anothos Collaborative blends play with purpose in summer reading and math. Children engage in interactive, hands-on learning that strengthens skills, fosters confidence, and sparks curiosity, ensuring every child rises toward their academic potential.
Expertise Matters
At Anothos, your child is taught by experienced educators who truly understand how kids learn. With over 15 years of teaching experience and advanced degrees in education, our team brings both expertise and heart to every lesson. Families see the difference: students grow stronger in reading and math, gain confidence in their abilities, and return to school more prepared and motivated. Our results are reflected not just in academic progress, but in children who believe in themselves as learners.

Program Highlights
Each week students review and learn a foundational skill in reading or math with our expert teachers. They are taught games for practice and are provided supplemental take home materials.
Students that add two additional practice sessions at home to their week will protect their school year progress and even learn more!
Within our small groups, each child is embraced and honored as an individual who can contribute to the learning collaboratively. The teacher will work with your child at their grade level in academics and adjust according to their strengths and growth areas. Instruction is presented in a fun and engaging way, with take home games and materials provided.
The summer class is taught by an educator trained and experienced in elementary or middle school education and supported by trained teacher aides, creating a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio.
Located at the Camp Mirage -Plymouth site, our students enjoy group time in a 1,400 sq. ft. classroom. This allows for movement and creativity that aligns with our philosophy of educating young children.
Your child can have fun at summer camp and get their summer academics all in one spot!

Choice in the Preschool Classroom

Creative Play Area
Activities in the creative play area foster both large muscle and social skills. Features of the creative play area include blocks, a kitchen area, a fix-it table, animal figurines, and a playhouse.
Collage
Fine motor skills such a cutting, pasting, taping, and sorting are reinforced in our collage area.
Arts and Crafts
Children are encouraged to develop their artistic awareness and skills in a daily art project. In addition, the easel is available for artistic expression.
Snack
Students bring individual snacks and lunches each day.
Discovery Table
Daily activities at the Discovery Table challenge students to solve problems, classify objects and develop an awareness of basic scientific and mathematical principles. They can experiment with objects such as dried leaves, snow, kernels of corn, and play dough.
ABC and 123 Games
Children select ABC or 123 games. Playing these games encourages development of both verbal and mathematical skills.
Writing Center
A variety of materials are available at our writing center to help young children tap into their ability to use lines, shapes, and eventually symbols and letters to share their understanding of the world. When friends author a story they become the casting director as their friends act out their tales.
Sand, Water or Playdough
Each day children flock to the area which features our sand table, water table or playdough, featured on a rotating basis. These areas give children an opportunity to develop gross and fine motor skills, and introduce them to concepts like mass, volume, gravity, and quantity.
Gross Motor Skills & Physical Education
Children develop gross motor skills during movement activities in the gym. Outside, these skills are further developed as children enjoy the playhouse, sandbox and play equipment. The use of balls improves hand-eye coordination. Students enjoy physical education instruction weekly in the gym, fostering gross motor skills and team building.
Music
Music activities are presented regularly. Songs, finger-plays and movement reinforce language development.
Themes
Teachers plan thematic units throughout the year ranging from community helpers to learning about the farm. Stories, songs, crafts and snack are integrated around the theme so that the child has a holistic immersion experience in the topics being studied. Teachers key in on student interests and use that information to plan high-interest themes.

Describe here
The student to teacher ratio is 1:4. Four students will work with our lead teacher for 30 minutes and 4 students will work with our team teacher for 30 minutes. Then they swap group for the remaining 30 minutes. Maximum group size is 8 students.
